Rosie Poultney, National Account Manager
In 2019, I was given the opportunity to enrol on an apprenticeship through Excellerate Services, beginning with the ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management programme. From the outset, the course provided a wealth of knowledge, practical skills, and new perspectives. It introduced a variety of leadership models, tools, and techniques that could be applied both within the workplace and beyond.
Throughout the apprenticeship, I completed a range of assignments, delivered professional discussions, and undertook an end-point assessment unlike anything I had experienced before. Each stage of the programme pushed me to grow, ultimately helping to strengthen my confidence and develop my leadership capability.
Rediscovering a passion for learning, I asked to be considered for further development. The next step was the CMI Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, which required meeting a significantly higher standard and deeper level of analysis. I was proud to achieve distinctions in both programmes, marking an important milestone in my professional development.
Building on this success, I am currently enrolled on a Level 7 Senior Leadership apprenticeship. Although I am only a quarter of the way through the programme, it has already introduced a wide range of advanced topics and strategic concepts that go beyond what was covered in my previous apprenticeships.
Over the years, these programmes have helped me develop invaluable skills, knowledge, and confidence. The journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and it has been a privilege to continue learning, growing, and applying these experiences in both my professional and personal life.
