A Day in the Life - Andrew Tasker
My alarm is 7 years old
The alarm is set for 6am weekdays, but with 7-yr old and the current summer
mornings, I’m generally up before the alarm goes off!
The Morning Slot
I start every day with a review of the data from the previous day and share
any key insights with the senior team - this generally includes areas
performing well or identifying needs for additional support/resource.
No Two Days are the Same
With responsibility for data projects, I spend time catching up with
colleagues across most business functions every day;
from updates on tech installs at client sites, to providing training to
field teams, to creating client dashboards and reports.

Velocity is our powerful in-house management information system that drives
our client offering around cleaning specification, SLA delivery and real-time
responses from our hygiene and security operatives. My team analyse the client
data captured by for example, door sensors and customer feedback boards and use
this to identify trends that inform recommendations around service delivery and
efficiencies.
Home Time
The interrogation work continues when I get home - as I try to get any sort
of details from my son on how his day has been. If we can, my wife and
I will try to catch up on a box set, current fave is Stranger Things.
And for Pleasure?
I’ve been involved in musical theatre for over 20 years and regularly
perform on stage. I’ve recently joined an adult tap-dancing class - great fun,
but definitely a lot harder than it looks!
